Summer hols!
Hiya all!
have booked the hols for 2006, am off on `raid asterix` south of claremont ferand around the mountains. booked to go with boab, a small local company, more details can be found at boab.biz. have got a deal going with them, if 5 or more cars go as a group, the price comes down a bit so anyone up fer this? the actual trip takes a week, but we will be going early & coming back late so we dont have to rush toooo much. we are off on 25/8/06 and back here 6/9/06. any one need more info? any one up fer it?
hope all goes well, found him to be a bit expensive though, you might want to post costs so people are aware to save a bombardment of PM and e mails asking for costs.
opps how did that get in there
we did the malgre tout challenge with tulip maps over 4 days including camping, breakfast, packed lunch evening meal and evening entainment for £400 for 2 people. More than 20p admittedly. stayed there the whole week and you could do the 200 miles of track a day or not. it was up to you how you wanted to do it. Only down side there was over 60 vehicles banging down the lanes, good fun though.

hey thats me before i rolled it. see how every one else was getting stuck, me and roly just trundled through. That was one soft site. (Near Milton Keynes)
anything that costs more than 20p is a bit expensive to you ian, the week at that time of year costs £ 675 with a supliment for children & a discount for group bookings as long as they are organised by the club as a group. the hol is a raid/rally style trip, using tulip type maps so you are not in someone elses dust all day. ferry prices for dover calais at that time were £80 for car, 2 adults & 2 children, this quote was correct as of 9/11/05 with p&o. we are going early so we dont have to kick the crap out of my poor long suffering diesel & returning late for the same reason, thereby making a two week holiday at a reasonable price with some fun thrown in.
anyone interested? contact boab.biz or will try to help you myself.
if you want an expensive half day on a 4x4 course ian, try the guy near haverfordwest, got a few acres of rough ground where you get a guided tour then can play a bit for £ 250 per day. this is 2hrs guided, then lunch which you have to provide, then 2hrs playing. bargain! 4hrs driving your own truck, feeding yourself all for the knockdown price of £250!! got his web address if you want it.
