its my quickest way of gettin it home
i dont want to have to pay for 4x4 and trailer on the ferry
and it might be a pile of scrap when i get there

I towed one all over England and Wales for a while, put a light board on it, disconneect its own battery and unlock the steering.
Mine was designed to clamp to the front bumper.

Take the short prop off and put the transfer in neutral

legally you are restricted to 50mph as they item being towed is not braked. I towed a g with an a frame that attached to the bumper. Fun at round abouts. Will you not have to pay the extra anyway on the ferry as its worked out on length.

why take the short prop off? why not just put the transfer into neutral & the main box in park?
