hello again,

ok, i know it isnt specifically g, but i thought it could be in general interest.

my car at the moment has been playing up, it revs up on its own, doesnt idle properly etc etc, which may not sound much but try a 3 point turn in a quiet cul-de-sac at 10pm when the engines stuck at 4500 revs!!!

anyway, took it into garage of our friends and they said it was sorted, and it was. then i put £15 of tesco fuel in and the problem started again. since i have only filled it up with shell or texaco and after 2 half tanks it is running sweet again. fluke or is it actually the fuel? has anyone else had troubles?

Re: Tesco Fuel

I doubt if it is the fuel, for it to run so high would mean it sucking in air or the throttle linkage being worn. If you look at the linkage on a petrol G you will see many plastic items that break or wear which can cause the linkage to stick.
