losing fluid

That sounds like the diff lock reservoir: if it’s leaking it should leave a pool of fluid on the floor. There are a number of ways it can leak. The pipe that takes the fluid to the master cylinders is a push fit and is known to fail at the master cylinder – mine did and it takes a bout 5 mins to change. Also the plastic connectors on the top of the master cylinders also are prone to brake. They cost very little but are a bugger to change. Get under the truck and have a look at the master cylinders – feel where the pipe from the reservoir attaches and check for leakage.
