Hi All, Do I need a lift to fit 33" OR 32" tyres on a 463 SWB G? Has anybody fitted them?

I ran 33" BFGs MT on an 15x8 ORC 27 wheel on my 463 300GEL. Looked meaty, but you will get some rubbing when you go off road. Try them out first before you raise the springs, I'm not sure what it will do to all those electrics sensors if you raise springs on the 400CDI you are getting

well they will sort of, they are for a 460 series the ones on ebay and the off set is different to that of a 463. they will stick out a bit further than those for a 463 which meansyou will be running illegally and the mud will fly up the side of your truck. They are only 7J and 33x12.50 BFGS do need a minimum of an 8j. so the bead wont sit on the wheel properly and sand and dirt gets wedged down the bead and it leaks air.

Thanks again Peter  I would like to run 33" 12.5 15 BFG MT's what off set will i need to keep maximum steering lock? I'm not worried about them sticking out an inch or so this will keep the vehicle away from the sides of tracks and they'll only be on when off-roading, I'll proberbly order some mach 5's from D44.

Its a pain working blind and not having the vehicle and I guess will be a steep learning curve, But I have an off road event to go to on new years day so I need to get everything ready before it comes. Getting excited now

I would go for the Mach 5, I have a picture of them on a 460 SWB and they look really good.

The wider the track the better turning circle, with the BFGs they will rub on the trailing arms on full lock but its no big deal and if they just for off roading then shouldn't worry too much about the upset it might cause your on-board computor. Where's the off road trip on new years day, can I come and watch :P

Stir up some landy boys like I do on the D44 forum

Hi Peter I'm a member of a jeep club ( http://www.j33p.org/event_reports.cfm?ID=97 ) so I'm already wind them up with the ability of my clumbsy disco

I hope to either green laneing in Exemoor or if the club gets organized on a site on the mendips..you just want to see me damage it

Does anybody know the standard offset of the wheels on a 463 and what to use for 32,10.5x15? :?

15" on newer 463

15" will not fit the 463 G's after 1994. You need min. 16 " to clear discs and calipers.
