There's been a lot of chat on the board about how much/little Gs go for, mostly in the Classifieds section.

Starting point has to be that anything is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it, but there seems to be huge variation in the prices asked (not necessarily the same as prices paid) on eBay and Autotrader for fairly standard late 80's to mid 90's Gs.

Maybe the GWOA could monitor trends and publish the results for the benefit of members thinking of buying or selling.

Starter for 10 - I sold a reasonable condition 1990 300GDL at auction today for £2,600.
That seemed fair to me and was more than double the Auctioneer's book price (i.e. what you might expect a dealer to pay). But based on real experience, can anyone tell me if it was too cheap or too expensive? Any other recent actual prices - bought or sold?

I'd be happy to take responses by mail/pm if you don't want to publish on the board and keep your details confidential.

Could be the start of a regular market report for G-Whizz ...

Could be an interesting discussion, though of course there are numerous variables to take into account including such things as the obvious year, condition and mileage but also location and colour.

I find that living in London people will pay over the odds, particularly if the car is a SWB and a dark colour.
