300gd auto 25-28

add about 2-3 mpg for a manual.

After many years of diesel G-Wagen ownership, I can atest the following:

W460 300 GD SWB 5-speed manual, consumption over 35,000 miles of city/country lanes/motorway/off-roading: 22 mpg

W463 300 GD SWB 5-speed manual, consumption over 10,000 miles of city/country lanes/motorway/off-roading: 20 mpg

But I have to say that I have a heavy right foot and enjoy driving my Gs.

Cheers
