No Congestion Charge with a LWB G
Just having read the Saturday Telegraph its seems that 9 seat Landrovers and presumably 9 seat Gs are exempt from Red Kens contemptible congestion charge.
Just £10 a year registration and no charge - knew I should have bought a long wheel base

 Can you use the Bus Lanes as well?
Q
I have a exempt g wagon had to change log book to 9 seats, and send a copy to Ken every year.

Did it change how much you need to pay to tax your G?
If you have a seven seater as i do, can you just fit a additional seat in the back, my log book has the seating capacity left blank, would i need to change the log book to read nine seats?
My road tax is the same and I didn't pay the ten pounds to red ken.

There is a 100% discount of you have a nine seater vehicle, however you do have to provide proof with your V5C form that must be listed as being a 9 seater. I have applied for this discount, but before you do you have to get DVLA to change your V5C. This can be done by writing to;
Ms.R Reeves
VC1 D4
DVLA
Swansea
SA99 1ZZ
And providing DVLA with some photos of the extra seats (make sure you have seat belts in the photo and both sides), a photo of the door open with the reg plate clearly visible. Once this is done you have to fill in the CC form; (found under vehicles with 9 Seats section)
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/congestioncharging/6733.aspx#Vehicles.
However as pointed out I think this is only in relation to the 463's as they are classed as family vehicle - not too sure if you are using yours as a commercial vehicle.
I Sent my form off last week and have approval as of today, so driving in London now cost me zero charge.
Hope this helps
