Idle speed 280ge

Guys, according to manual my 280 ge should be 30 degrees btdc at 3500rpm with vaccum line detached......

Easier said than done when working on own (can't read rev counter)!!!

Mechanical advance looks to work fine when engine revved but does anybody have a timing for tickover say 750-850 revs??

I think it should be 10 degrees. But that used to be ok with 4 star fuel . Maybe it needs to be retarded on today's fuel

where are you filling up your g. not a nastyh cheap supermarket I hope :shock: Found BP to be best in my 280.
