July-Sept 05 events?
Between July & Sept i would like to take my Grandaughter to an off Road or Green Laning event as near as possible to Guildford as i know she will love it when she comes down for summer hols.
Are there any club events planned at that time & place or should i look in some sort of 4x4 magazine or website? If organised by another club is it worth a few of us turning up in our G's?
The best thing is to look at the AWDC website, they have play days in your area at a charge of £25 for the day. Other than that the All Marques off road club have some good days out.
I joined the AMOR club as one of our members is an active organiser and he runs a G. Very friendly. Both clubs have playdays and you will see G wagens on both. We sometimes go on the AWDC playdays. But I have found with the G Wagen club events are minimal and we rely on the likes of yourselves letting us know whats on and a few of us turn up, or not, as the case may be. A bit like the Haflinger event you turned up on.
Have you got a contact number or link for the AMOR please Peter, there web site wont access any info
AWDC has no events in my area at the time i would like yet so any other sugestions welcomed.
P.S what does DR & ROM etc mean next to various events please?
You could try the green lane section, or the events section over at the difflock forums http://forum.difflock.com/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi. You mighy have to pretend your G Wagen is a Land Rover though, as they have a severe inferiorty (sp?) complex over there :twisted: :wink: ..
