Hi all G's
well I was away to the mountains for the trip I told you guys.
We had to push our trip earlier/ as advised by the weather gods.
They predicted heavy rainfalls/landslides during August.
Anyway the trip was fantastic, except during the last leg of the trip my 4wd drive shaft started to make awful sound, which went on increasing. After we were out of the 4wd terrain we removed it&everything was quite again. Tell me how much would a new one cost. I am moving without it for the time being.
Thank you all
Jimmy

We'd love to hear more. See photos. Read a story about it in G-Whizz...

I've got my heart set on a trans continental trip in the G and would love to see that part of the world in her. Though not I am afraid for a few years yet.

I imagine there are people in Pakistan who can take your G, strip it and rebuild it as new in about twenty-two minutes flat....and all without using an elephant to mash it into an "M-class". In my, albeit limited, experience, 12-year old boys on the side of the road can manufacture a passable prop shaft from the remains of a tin plate, an army mug and half a house brick for just about anything that happens to trundle by them. Resourceful people, see.

Now I come to think of it, I reckon a Land Rover Station Wagon I once owned - how's that for an admission? - must have spent some time in Pakistan!
