Hi all,

Replacing (or more accurately my mechanic replacing!!) the rear panels into which the rear lights are affixed. Apart from the obvious tail-light cabling, coming down from the upper r
s quater panel is a collection of wires.

No obvious end location and they have now been severed!!

Any clues as to their purpose?

No electrics available as yet to re attach battery etc.

As I hope you can see also, having to completely replace the structural member onto which the bottom hinge locates.

Plenty to keep me busy!!

Cheers

This is the wiring for the rear door (foglamp, wiper etc.). It should exit to the outside through a hole in the missing panel below the upper hinge, and enter the door through a hole just beside it. I'm sure there should be a connector somewhere, but my wiring has been messed with so I can't tell where.

Hi Peter,

Nasty is not the word!!

Half way to getting it sorted though. New panels welded in and fully rustproofed etc.

Still have to get vertical hinge support in place.

Yes to the wheel arch question, fibreglass + yes the whole thing is to be painted and fully colour coded........... time and money!!!

Should be worth it in the end.

Cheers
