Is this the option you could get from AMG/Brabus. I don't know of anyone else who did it. It was designed so you could lower your G so it could fit in the garage.

I have had a quick chat with a pal of mine at the factory in Graz. He assures me that this G-Lift hydraulic system was never an original equipment option. He seems to think it may be an AMG after-market fitment, but he is not sure.

Sorry I can't be of more help. :(

Q

P.S. You can get new socks at Marks & Spencers

Timmisax,

It's obviously not on datacard because it was never a factory fitment. Brabus has never been an "official" GWagen tuner and AMG wasn't at the time your G was made. That means that either way they had to buy the Gs from any dealer like any of us would do and then have them "tuned". So datacard would reflect original equipment as the cars left the factory.

I have noticed that Brabus are recalcitrant in their refusal to back up cars made more than five years ago (looks like they are posher than MBUK themselves, quite a remarkable achievement in itself).....

Good luck,

hey Timmy!!
only just noticed this post (never have any need to be in the Diesels area, to busy putting super in my tank!!!)I have a Brabus conversion G with the G-Lift option (have a little red light on the display and a switch on the dash) Do you have the part number + costs of the new shocks - i don't need them yet but you never know, i never seem to have any joy with Brabus (trying hard to source new brake discs at the moment) and would be thankful of the info.
thanks
