G Lift
Hello all am new to GWOA and of course have a problem
my G350 TD 463320 is fitted with G Lift hydraulically adjustable ride heght operated fro a rocker on the dash the hydraulics run from the power steering pump through a system of valves and spheres so all 4 shocks raise or lower
anyone know about this and where can i get new socks ?
Is this the option you could get from AMG/Brabus. I don't know of anyone else who did it. It was designed so you could lower your G so it could fit in the garage.
It's definitely not OEM according to the datacard of his G...

I have had a quick chat with a pal of mine at the factory in Graz. He assures me that this G-Lift hydraulic system was never an original equipment option. He seems to think it may be an AMG after-market fitment, but he is not sure.
Sorry I can't be of more help. :(
Q
P.S. You can get new socks at Marks & Spencers
have e mailed and faxed brabus but cannot think why not on datacard
by the way at moment g almost low enough to fit under garage door!
Timmisax,
It's obviously not on datacard because it was never a factory fitment. Brabus has never been an "official" GWagen tuner and AMG wasn't at the time your G was made. That means that either way they had to buy the Gs from any dealer like any of us would do and then have them "tuned". So datacard would reflect original equipment as the cars left the factory.
I have noticed that Brabus are recalcitrant in their refusal to back up cars made more than five years ago (looks like they are posher than MBUK themselves, quite a remarkable achievement in itself).....
Good luck,
hey Timmy!!
only just noticed this post (never have any need to be in the Diesels area, to busy putting super in my tank!!!)I have a Brabus conversion G with the G-Lift option (have a little red light on the display and a switch on the dash) Do you have the part number + costs of the new shocks - i don't need them yet but you never know, i never seem to have any joy with Brabus (trying hard to source new brake discs at the moment) and would be thankful of the info.
thanks
Heard a rumour that the brabus brakes on the G's are from a Subaru Imprezer, Try your local subaru dealer to see if they match. I am awre that brabus source there brakes from a UK manufacturer.
   WOW PP if thats the case i'll send a large one your way (drink that is....)
