bad brakes/engine remains running after switch off?
HI GUYS ,I HAVE READ SOME OF THE THREADS FROM THE ARCHIVES AND WONDER IF THIS PROBLEM IS A VACUM PUMP POROBLEMAND IF SO IS THERE AN EASY FIX .?
:(
It could be a leak in the vacuum lines. Mine was leaking in the T-piece in front of the brake booster( upper right corner on the picture).

Hi the best way of testing the diaphragm on the inj pump is to apply a vacuums whilst the engine is running, if the diaphragm is ok it will stop the engine. If you haven’t the tool then attach a vac pipe direct to the cell and suck (hard) you should be able to stop or at least slow the engine down, use your tongue to block the end of the pipe (is it holding the vacuum?) it should, if not replace it. There is a lot of other places you could be loosing pressure.

I have had a truck in with the same problem today, it won't stop, I know it's vacuum, but where to begin?
Found the problem. T piece off main vac pipe (pump to reserrvoir) at front of engine, small pipe runs to ignition switch, pipe blocked at T piece by muck.
THANKS FRODE , I HAVE CHECKED THE PIPE FOR LEAKS AND IT SEEMS OK SO ,I THINK IT POINTS TOWARDS THE DIAPHRAM IN THE PUMP.I HAVE NOT OPENED IT YET .
ANY IDEAS WHAT THE PART NUMBERS FOR THESE DIAPHRAMS ARE?
