After a decade in the Mediterranean I brought my G to Switzerland.
Luckily there is another G55 SWB registered in CH, so they had it in their database and import, registration & 'MOT' were easy.

It was at Beaulieu years ago. Jesus was there and Fred's silver 270CDI was there also which was owned by Colin (S&V diesels). James bought it down trying to sell it. It was in top condition and looks like it still is
That's it, I remember now..Beaulieu...isn't there a story of who the original owner was...the wife of c@a or some other company

Soon after I received the G, I had to travel a lot and tried to sell the almost new car in the UK, but thankfully nobody liked the color then, nor the price. I remember Max McArthur, lol - he was quite a piece of work.
I wouldn't say max was quite a piece of work, any way we had a great time thrashing you car Round the off road track, max must have done a good job cleaning it!

I had it cleaned, haha - He did 300 miles with the G, the spare wheel cover had a dent, a subwoofer was missing, he lost my spare key and he charged me a funny amount of money for some new tires - whatever, no stress - my fault being a trustful tourist.
peter perfect I think you should appologise to this nice chap for the way you have abused his vehicle whilst it was left in the care of your apparently dodgy friend.
Max was no friend of mine...or anyone else for that matter....far as I was concerned it was for sale...I just test drove it !

PP how much did you get for the subwoofer ?
That ended up in my 230ge...went with it when it was scrapped ! ,might have the spare key somewhere..hold on I'll have a look !

Still prefer the SWB, but without bullbars - so 80's :)

I always saw more G's in Switzerland when I visited there.
Indeed! That was July 2003 and that G looks as good today as it looked back then. Funny colour, though.
