Windscreen Advice Please

I had my windscreen replaced a few weeks back under Insurance by Autoglass and as i haven't been using the G i have only just noticed today that it is leaking. Glove box insert was wet and water in footwell. This is especially annoying as I just got it (the G) leak free when i replaced my wiper spindle a few weeks before the screen was replaced.

Does anyone know if Autoglass will sort this or will I have to fork out again?

From what you say if the leak has developed after replacing the screen, I see no reason why Autoglass should not address the issue for you. Put the complaint in writing an note times, dates and names of all concerned whenever you talk to Autoglass about the complaint.

To support your case of the wiper spindles have receipts of the spindle or if the work was commissioned out their receipts to prove to Autoglass the spindles have been done. Do not volunteer any information to them that the wiper spindle are a possible leak area of the G-Wagen unless they touch on the subject themselves.

Assuming it is the windscreen seal Autoglass, I think, claim to give a lifetime guarentee on workmanship.

That I dont know as they did it while my car was at garage getting other work done.
Autoglass are coming tomorrow to inspect the screen, so I'll find out then.

Re: Windscreen Advice Please

Autoglass guy now here and said right away that it hadn't been sealed.
Original rubber seal is in good condition.
He is now putting compound between the seal and the body and the seal and the screen.
If that doesn't solve it they will will comback and replace the seal and screen.
