When i leave my lights on and open the door should a buzzer sound?
Hi everyone
Had my car sprayed a few months ago and they messed with the electrics. When it came back a noise sounded when lights were left on when door was open- I didnt't know this happend.
Now its stopped and doesn't do it anymore. Was it a fault when they re-sprayed it or is it suppost to happen?
Hoep someone can help! :-)
My 91 463 cetainly buzzes if the door is opened with the lights on and the engine stopped.

If I leave my sidelights on and open the door with the engine off, there is an intermittent buzz, headlights on and it is continuous. Just a warning not to leave your lights on. But it is only with the engine off.
Mine is 1991 463
If it is a 460, then you should be able to find the buzzer unit by taking off the 2 panels (screwed on) that sit either side of the steering column and look for a pair of black/ yellow leads that come off the same part of the loom that feeds the ignition.
On the end of this should be the buzzer (its actually part of a short cable assembley itself. Part number is A1245450114
Mines is a 300ges as well and doesnt buzz when the lights are on and the door is open, this is something I meant to investigate, I think mines is more likley a defective switch in the door apperature than the buzzer! I'm going to check this out lol now that this has remembered me!!

And is a 300 GES which is 463 i think?
