Someone has offered me some alloys for the G , quick question ,.the wheels on offer are 5x130 pcd ...6 1/2" x 16 with an offset of 50 . Will these fill the arches of a 460 with flares when fitted with appropriate tyres? What size tyres would people recommend for a 6 1/2" rim.

Many thanks.

Hello Steve,

I not an expert on Wheel or rim sizes.

Check this site out to see if it answers your questions.

http://www.rubicon-trail.com/G-Class/wheels/start.html

The tyre fitters could answer your questions on tyres you could fit to the rims you have.

You do need to check the centre bore of the wheel.

Cheers,

Re: Wheels

Standard ET or backspacing for the 460 is 63mm so a wheel of 50mm ET will stick out more, plus at 6 1/2"  it is wider than standard so it should fill your wheel arches ok.

It is also important that the centre bore of the wheel is 84.1mm otherwise it will not fit.

The maximum recommended width for a 6 1/2" wheel with 60 series tyres is 235.
