I don't suppose that anyone has a set of wheel nuts (steel wheels) for a 98 E Class?

Re: Wheel Nuts

The EPC shows a number of options for the 430, but I think for alloy not steel wheels (normally different), research indicates probably £3-4 new at the dealer.

Re: Wheel Nuts

Hello Alan,

It seems that your vehicle is fitted with non-original wheels. W210 E430s had light alloy wheels as standard.
Most probably you need to get  the A170 401 01 70 wheel bolts for your vehicle (Radius Seat Bolts).
They have a list price of 1,72 Euros (each) + VAT in Germany and you should be able to buy them at any MB dealer (most probably they will have it in stock - it is a common item shared accross many models).

Regards

Michael

Re: Wheel Nuts

Thank you gentlemen - off to MB I go.  I am taking off the AMG wheels and putting buckshee steels on just so that she will roll to the crusher (once the nice bits have been taken off!) - what a pity the seats, aircon etc will not fit a 463!  The CD10 music will though (I think - DIN standard)

Re: Wheel Nuts

Hi Alan,

I have a 98 E300 TD estate. The electric window buttons (maybe also the winder motors?) and central dash recirc buttons are broken. Does your 430 have the same ones? If so, how difficult would it be to remove these. Regarding the upholstery, does your one have the child seats in the rear? (If so, I'd be interested to do a seat swap before you send the thing to the crusher - mine are black leather jobs).

Please advise,
Phileas

(p.s. if its too much trouble, please don't let it bother you. I'm also just asking on the offchance as these are issues that are bugging me - especially the windows' intermittent faults - but not critical to the cars operation..........the engine and gearbox are still perfect!)

All the buttons & knobs will be the same and they all work and are in good condition.  No idea how to strip them out ... you do the home work!  The seats are pale sand colour & no child seats - sorry.  Alan
I will photo the dash for you ...
