Wheel arch rubber
Morning all
I hope you all had a great Christmas.
My G is going in for some paint work in a few weeks and I would like to take the opportunity to replace a few tired looking bits.
Attached is a photo of the rubber seal thing that goes between the wheel arch and the wheel arch extension.
Does anyone know where one could purchase the afore mentioned thingy and how much it might cost to go all round my SWB 463?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Are they not available direct from MB!
Let me know when you find some and how much as I need some too. Mine are rather brittle
I expect this to be a Dealer part only. Part number: A 463 889 04 98, quantity of two per wheel arch, therefore for the whole vehicle you need to order eight.
With your dealer, double check the item against your chassis number, I have checked this against chassis number: W 463.227... for reference only.
On the EPC illustration, the seal is linked to the piping that sits inbetween the wheel arch and wing but it is not clear if the piping comes with the seal or not. I think it is just shown as link to the piping because they are listing quantity of two per side. Part number for the front and rear wheel arch clip is the same.

Hi
I have had a look at this and the part number required for the sealing strip between wheel arch extension and arch on a W463
is A463 889 04 98. You only require qty 1 per arch so 4 per vehicle. MB Germany have 220 in stock and they are £4.85 each + vat
from the MB dealers and should take 48 hours to arrive. On EPC it is item 115 on the front pic and item 20 on the rear pic.
Hope this helps

Digging up an old topic does anyone have the part number for the G55 arches as the rubber looks wider?
Only asking as fitting some wider arches and want to use/ order the right part
Thanks in advance for the help
Tom
The AMG arches are wider than standard wheel arch extensions, but the rubber seal strip between arches and wings is the same for all (I'm pretty sure).
Found them with some help and got them ordered from help from another site, I thought the same Arnie although the actual rubber is slightly thicker on the lip aswell. For anyone interested the fronts are; A4638890898 and the rear are; A4638890998.
Cheers Tom
