W463 to AMG look...

Hi guys - it's been a while! So anyway i've had 2 G's now both  swb albeit for a short time. I've been looking for a Ferrari 348 for a while but somehow have ventured back to looking for a G! 

Not many are coming up for sale so I was thinking of buying a good 463 and 'pimping' it out. AMG style front and back bumpers, headlight conversion etc. I was speaking to a chap from England not long ago who has custom bumpers for reasonable prices and he also did the headlight conversion. He had a few G's in at that time that he was upgrading to newer style. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Basically I'm after the flared arches, bumpers, headlight hid's etc. Thanks

I'm currently on the bottom of a very steep learning curve on G's, but this type of work sounds interesting to me... keep us all posted (with plenty of pics!) on how it goes.

You can do it - I think there was one on e-bay a few weeks back. It will be expensive. What were you going to use as your base 463? (G500, 400, 300 etc)

You then need to consider what period of G AMG you want to build up to (say mid 2000 or today). Then there will be the parts you want to AMG up? If your going for the full monty:

Front grille,
Front lights
Exhaust
Flared Arches
Rear lights
Blacked out windows
The AMG badges
 
Once you have your list and period, you could try our Parts Rep (Gav) and he can give you the bad news on availability and cost crying. However in the mean time, you have the power of the GWOA looking out for substitute parts, providing information and advice!
