Re: upgrade from w123 to w124

later w124s ran with the 3 litre six cylinder multivalve engine, this is highly reguarded for refinement (by diesel standards) and durability, in the saloon it would achieve low 30's for its mpg, in 12v form this engine was also the standard diesel in the 463 sold in the UK but fuel consumption is naturally worse. This engine shoves out 100bhp so an improvement on the 5 cylinder but still not great. Why not simply turbo your existing engine?

Re: upgrade from w123 to w124

hi
i want to leave all w123 engine, because i have many problems in the engine and gearbox .so if i deside to fix all problem it will cost me alot of money ,for that reason i want to buy used w124 engine and gearbox instead of fix all problem.
so which best engine in w124 (5cylinder ) series suitable for me.
thanks
