Tom Sheppard's 290 GDT is for sale

Tom Sheppard was hoping to travel to Algeria again last November, but in the end wasn't able to get a visa.  As he doesn't think an Algerian visa will be forthcoming anytime soon, he has decided to sell his white G-wagen.  This is the one that appeared in his recent books and in an episode of Michael Palin's "Sahara".  He was fortunate to have had the G built to his specific expedition requirements and has added numerous additional modifications since purchase [see .doc attached].  There are some additonal photo' at http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34976

I understand that the G has been valued at £25k.  As far as I'm aware, it has not been advertised elsewhere yet.  If, reading this, you are interested I'm sure that he would be willng to discuss a sensible offer.

It is a nice truck....and it has an interesting history...and they are rare.
But 25000 pounds for a well used 290...WOW.
