Thinking of selling my G! Whats it worth?
Hi Guys
Had my G for a while and thinking of upgrading.
Im not really sure what to ask for it as there seems to be a big range of prices out there, any advice would be appreciated.
Heres the spec: 1992 463 300 GDS SWB
Red with Immaculate grey interior,
9 months MOT, 5 months tax
104K genuine miles,
Spare Keys, Original tool box and first aid kit present.
It is totally original, never been welded or painted (always garaged). Was orginally sold by a local mercedes dealer to me here in northern Ireland and has only had 2 owners from new.
Its currently getting detailed so will get a few pics up asap. Looks exactly like pic attached.
Thanks in advance!!
Is it a Manual/Auto
Leather interior?
Side steps?
A Sunroof?
Any Heated seats?
Windows working?
Rust on hinges?
Footwell's dry?
Service history?
And exterior paintwork - scratches/dents.
Colour coded bumpers/mirrors or standard?
Diff locks engage?
seems like gooch is on a mission..!!
This is me, it sounds original - A Good point.
A firm £12500 lowest. You should aim to put it on the AutoTrader for £14500 then gradually come down.
Good selling points can be non-rust and Good ammount of Service history.
What do you think?
As always mate, how u doing?
Seems a bit high to me (but I am NO expert on pricing).
I was thinking £9,995 - £11k
But there is a 1993 on GWOA for £8995 here: http://www.gwoa.co.uk/content/1993-l-mercedes-300-ges-manual
OK, its petrol compared to diesel, but otherwise seems broadly comparable? (given the absence of photos for both)
Me too no Expert but the one on your link has part service history!
Maybe for that price it might not be hpi - Clear?
Who knows condition, miles, history would have to be verified pysically I think.
But if he asks for £9k then for sure some guy will want to offer him only £6-£7k.
In todays market you need to be asking at least £2k more than you want for it and be prepared to put up with some very very low opening offers.
I think for a fairly basic spec early model 463 without a MB service history but with reasonable mileage and in good overall condition then £10k is probably as good as it gets. With winter coming up the price of used 4x4s always climb a bit so now is probably the best time to sell.
I agree with that.
really well thx gooch.
hope you find what you are looking for...
rgds hus.
G prices are on the increase yet again..
i think 10k is fair game for this G. if its that clean ofcourse...
pics please, pics...;)

Hi Hus
There's a couple more pictures below - I have given up trying to add them to the advert as I don't seem able to crack the technology!
I don't have an interior picture but it's in good condition - grey cloth, drivers seat not worn away like so many I've seen!
Cheers
Steve
Its a manual, no side steps, no sunroof, not leather or heated, no rust on hinges, windows working, dry foot wells, some history and most old mots. Im currently trying to source the rest of the history.
