Is there an access panel to get at the speedo cable?

Hi just a quick one to save me taking the carpets out and cutting into my dynamat on a fruitless search. I want to fit a new speedo cable on my 300GD 5 speed manual. Simple enough in terms of threading is back in etc, but I cannot see a way to disconnect is from the box/transfer case end without dropping the box out - which seems a bit drastic. I know there are various access panels in the floor pan. Does anyone know if there is one to enable you to get at the cable before I go hunting for it - It's pretty hard to see from underneath lying on your back on a drive :-) Many thanks Simon

You can remove the cable from underneath the vehicle and then thread it through but the center floor console has to be lifted and I think the passenger seat from the floor base in order to alleviate the carpeting to allow a thread through.
