Rear right tail light not working. Found 16 amp fuse blown but not sure if it's for that light. Replaced it anyway and it blew straight away. Anyone have a diagram of fuses and there purpose??

Hi Darragh

Attached are basic wiring diagrams for 460 series 230GE 280GE and 300GD

Hope one of these helps

What model is the 1982 G?

Chassis number on your page tab would be helpful

It's a 300 gd 3 door station wagon style. She's not pretty yet! Some fool painted the bottom blue and left the top white!!! Needs work. Thanks for the wiring diagrams. Still no right tail light but the brake light works, must be a break in the cable somewhere. Thinking of looping off the left one? That 16 amp fuse was the 12 v socket, that's sorted now.

Re: tail light

I would suggest that it may be a possible earthing issue, the diagrams should show you where they are, i would strip and clean them all especially if its been stood a while, not just the ones close to the issue.

I would also leave it wired as it left the factory, the wiring and fuses are designed to cope with the intended circuit loads and fault finding in the future could also be problematic?

Wiring breaks although possible are not too common inside the G's in my experience...

Fixwin will probably point you in the direction of the usual suspect...
