Just as you are most likely getting rid of at least 4 cylinders on your driveway, I am sorry to announce that I have just increased the number on my driveway with 2, or actually not, because I am keeping the SWB, just got a 500 again.

The 606 Myna engine went like a steam train, and sounds awesome, but it still wasn’t a 500. The guy who bought it has put it into an early ‘80s pick up, and the na 606 is back in the SWB.

The new Isuzu 4x4 is fine, but I just can’t get used to driving it, although the fuel consumption is great.

By the way, after all the discussions on fuel consumption, I have had the same fuel consumption with all my G’s, between 18 -23 max, apart from the 55, 16. The 500 used R20 (+- £1.50) more on fuel over the 300 mile trip to fetch it in Cape Town than the SWB 606.

Greetings from a freezing (17’C) autumn South Africa

17's are quite popular over here, I am going to try a 2" lift with 35" 12.5 17's, or in your world big wheels designed to rid itself of mud.

Only problem here is to get decent springs for the lift, looks like ORC will have to be imported at a small fortune price.
