So what would a G be like without a fanny driver who was spinning the wheels before he even reached the obstacle...........much better.

OK I have had just about enough of this both with the land rover and the Porsche.
First I bet of the G had the SAME tyres as the Landy it would walk it was well.
Second The great news about being SECOND is you can benefit from those who came before you! In the case of the Porsche its taken them a good few years to catch up with the G.

Sorry Mr Spider, but I’m PP on this one. A G without locks is worthless, it might have been too much juice in the clip, but without that much it wouldn’t have made it.
I think I can call myself very experienced when on the dirty stuff, and the other weekend when my locks played up, I didn’t even want to try anything, because I know my car sucks without them.
Know your strengths and your weaknesses, locks and durability are strengths, wheel travel, and weight are our weaknesses.
Example, I could reverse a 3.5 ton trailer load of sand up my road, with locks on I would turn the trailer down my drive, no other 4x4 with locks will handle that, something will break.
Without locks I can’t do that turn even without the trailer, but a little Ford Fiesta makes the same turn without even slipping.
well Mr LEEU, you just need a big hefty V8, that will sort it out and not sound like a sewing machine! lol

I'm having a dream or memory of a big V8 roaring and screaming on a slight bank, with me dismantling a bridge and sticking the pieces under the wheels. Or is that a nightmare?
