Snorkel
Anyone know where I can get a snorkel from that will not cost more than my new engine please? The snorkel needs to come off the right hand side, driver side.
Due to the different inlet manifold on the 606, I can not use my normal air-box, and my intake is now on the other side. I don’t really like snorkels (all yuppies fit them around here), but it would be an easier option than trying to fit a 461 inlet grill.

No idea what your engine cost, but the chances of finding a used / cheap snorkel for a G is very small.
I have a spare snorkel for the right hand side of a G I' get a picture up later unless mark has one he can put up now.

What is it with you ex members, you take great delight in slagging the site off, yet you can't stay away.
Anyway, my dear Mr Piggy, I don't recall becoming your PA, and there a perfectly good classified section if you want tto use the site to sell items. £10 to non members. I couldn't possibly assist in the selling of the above item without that being payed. :-)

hey christo, freds right, get your roll cage sorted out first. if i understood you correctly your air filter is on the rhd which is , as on the 460, right ?? this means that the military snorkel fitted to the 461 and fitted on many 460's will fit your G .
i have a military snorkel here in cyprus. i will DO YOU a deal on it. 800 pound notes and i will throw in the postage free of charge !
now thats alot less than what your enhine is worth.
ps, if you think you will struggle to get it fitted out in the sticks where you are [looking back at the hassle you had with the engine conversion] come over to sunny cyprus i will fit it on for you free !

I have actually considered driving your way to have my interior done in leather. The money I would save having it done their will get close to paying for my fuel and ferry cost. I also think I will get a better job done there as it is not a very popular thing over here.

btw, we recently turbocharged a 606 like yours, and it was fitted to a rhd 460. it goes really really well now.[the 606 can handle about 220 bhp without an issue, just keep the turbo pressure below 1 bar.

As I said before Fred, I don't like them, and I don't really like wading through deep water, but I need to find a way of getting air to the engine and a snorkel is a easy, tidy way.
