Based on my research thus far, I believe a former military service 2 door, diesel, manual, SWB model is where I will be focusing my buying efforts.  I've heard of this being referred to as a Wolf.  Can some one out there provide a bit (or a lot) of detail on what this designation refers to please?

Are you happy at having 24volt elctrics? Cause the military versions are just that.

 Hi Texas

Have you revisited your original post in the introductions section, in particular my reply which contains information about the Wolf and asks you a few questions about Pinz ownership ?

Re: Seeking details on the "Wolf"

I suppose my preference would be to find one that's a 12V system but the Pinzgauers I have owned were 24V and I didn't have any issues.  So should I expect that all of the ex military units would be 24V?  Without getting too far down in the weeds, is there such a thing as a fairly stripped down 12V, SWB, soft top, 5 cyl diesel G model I should be focused on?
