Well done Peter,
I've used this guy on three of our cars and am happy with the service. However, when he did my G (463 model), I asked him to remove the wheelarch liners before cleaning and coating. He didn't do it which annoyed me: so instead, I took them off at my local garage on a Saturday morning and went to town on coating the insides with clear waxoyl (which were bone dry and totally rust free I was glad to find out!). It took me longer to clear up the floor than take the liners off, do the job and put them back on again. So the moral is, if you send your 463 to these chaps (or any other garage I imagine who do this kind of work), take the wheel arch liners out yourself and remind them to go up in to all the corners, especially in the front wings (near the bulkhead).
Happy rust-proofing,
Phileas
Just a tip, but you could do this yourself allot cheaper, infact if you had access to compressed air you could actually buy the professional tools they use to inject the cavity wax cheaper than what its costing you to get it done. However you dont need to buy the professional tool as there is a much cheaper (thenth of the price) version that takes a 1litre can. Plus the waxoyl product isnt a very good compared with the industrial waxes that are available!!

above is a link to the type of gun you would use for the one litre tins, it says 3m but the cans have a universal fitting so you could use the teroson version which is MB approved product!!!
If you make a mess you can just clean it with some panel wipe which is around £15 per gallon, which concidentally is the same as coleman fuel used for camping stoves so you would have more stove fuel than you would care to imagine!!!
It's a bit far away from Aberdeenshire!
I have used Bilt Hamber rust prevention products for some time and they are excellent. They can be bought in huge aeorosol cans that eliminates the need for compressors and spray guns.
Quote from their website
"dynax S50 is a high-performance anti-corrosion wax that provides exceptionally long-lasting protection to steel surfaces. It creeps into welded seams and seals surface defects. Dynax S50 forms a soft, brown, wax-like film that self-heals in the event of disruption. It is also able to arrest existing corrosion and to provide long-term protection to pre-corroded and corrosion-free surfaces."
Their cleanser-polishes beat the top names hands down, in a test in Classic Car Restorer mag this month.
They also have a a penetrating lubricant, which although more expensive than WD40 I have found to be much more effective when releasing corroded hinges etc.
They also have a range of rust removal products which I have found to be excellent. I bought a tub of their Deox-c rust removal powder which you make into a solution. To try it, I immersed some old very rusty spanners, two of the ring spanners were so rusty that the ring had almost filled in and after 24 hours submersed in the solution, with no prior brushing, the rust was gone and hasn't returned!
