romove a cat

hi to all g owners i have 94 300 petrol is it a good idear to remove the cat ?. will i get beter power/ soundand mpg thanks[newbee]

my "93" ge300 was actually built in October 1991 so I removed my cat legally. Cut off date is 1st of August 1992, if it was manufactured b4 then you are free to dump the cat. Milton Keynes will give you the exact date but will charge you £25 or so for an embossed letter confirming it, this you need for MOT test time.

The theory is that it should get the power up to the level of the pre-catalized 300's so 188bhp, perhaps a little more if you fit a free flow air filter and delete most of the unecessary exhaust system, I dumped the large nearside "back box" but you can exit on the right using an silencer in the postion of the current cat. If you do that it may not be a great deal more powerful it will certainly sound it. PM Big Block as this was his solution.
