Off road / green lanes near shepton mallet ?

Hello G Folk,

Been a while since I posted - I'm on my second G - a very nice 460 diesel that came my way at the end of last year having spent the previous couple of years in a barn. Bit of TLC courtesy of Peter in Northern Ireland and she now drives lovely and I have been as far as Germany in her without missing a beat.

I'm going camping near Shepton Mallet next weekend and just wandered if anyone knew of any trails or green lanes that are still open in that part of the world where I can test her out a bit. Not looking to go hardcore mud plugging (yet)  just a bit off the beaten track.
Any advice gratefully received.

Also on a different note I keep seeing a black LWB 460 round the corner from where I live (East Acton) anybody here ?

 You may like to call up the local council, they should have a list of all BOAT's in the area. I did with my local council. Just also make sure they send you their rules of what Restricted By Way means, as I have found that they can vary (Usually open times) from county to county.
