Hi all , can anyone advise best place to go for either re core on radiator or exchange radiator for 300 GD w460 model please , rgds stevo

I prefer rebuild as then you know the bits that you are getting back.. otherwise they maybe bent/rusty etc .. The 300GD has steel bits e.g. mounts at the side, panels up the side, mounts at the top. These can be pretty rusty if not cared for. I ended up recoring mine for about £380 quote which became close to £450 after repairs to steelwork. Should have bought a new one for that price from German Ebay for 400E.. see my notes below.

230GE rads are common listing but they have no oil cooler so are wider! (633mm)

If you are near to Reading, there is a solid Radiator place there...I think it is Berkshire Radiators on 01189 473501
I had 2 rads re-cored there. Its what they do.
Just had a recore on a 230 GES about £220.
Once out discovered bottom mountings where US. They were still available from MB
Now looks like new
Aberdeen prices = £450 = double the real world :( .. and that is the second time that radiator has been through Aberdeen radiators (old rebuild sticker was still on it from last owner).
