I want to re-trim the seats (large grey cheque) in my 460.

Seat cushions are available but the original covers aren't. However the 280CDI PUR edition (461.334 for example) was re-issued with the same covers in 2009 so I think I can use those.

The problem is working out what the correct option codes for the trim are (in fact there are a number of other things, like the cargo floor that are also of interest). An example in the EPC would be 'ZL8'

Is there anywhere that lists all of the option codes available?

Great find from mostafa, didnt think you could buy the material by the metre anymore!!!

The PUR from 2009 list the seat covers with a 460 part number?

Front Bottom A460 910 28 46 7158 Medium Grey Rodeo Cover Rodeo U45 Cloth Upholstery £91.50

Front Back A460 910 16 47 7158 Medium Grey Rodeo Cover U45 Cloth Upholstery £91.50

These are not handed and are priced each

What part numbers did you come up with for your chassis number? I think that they may still be available?

However they are the same trim code as the PUR (7158) just slightly different part numbers.

I think the bottom covers are quite different on the PUR?

Hi

I have several LHD / RHD PUR chassis numbers if you need part numbers working out...

You have picked a great code in ZL8...

ZL8 = Rheinmetall AGF Scope of delivery 461 G 22/10/03

Rheinmetall built the AGF which is also known as the Serval and a few were built in 2002 for the KSK German Special Forces and a handfull in 2007 for the Swiss Army. Known as a LIV (SO) Light Infantry Vehicle (Special Operations)

Thanks Gav, I didn't look up the part numbers as I was told that only the back cover was available for my VIN.

Looking at the pics for the PUR though, I thoght the seat cushion/ structure is the same? What did you think was different ?

While I've got the seats apart to retrim, I should probably replace the cushion abyway (hmm, seat heat option sounds good too!), part number for cushion is A4609100150 I think (not handed).

Thats why i would be interested in the part number you / they used to tell you that.

I think at first glance they would look correct and come up with A460 910 14 46 7161 and A460 910 10 47 7161

They would be the wrong ones as your vehicle has special built seats, they may have been the common equipment supplied but were a special option all the same, Tilt adjustment was a special option for the backrest and folding seat made the base different on the SWB.

Yours has both of these listed as options, which makes the covers different.

Do you have a quote from the dealer?

I know the EPC pictures are only a guide but the base looks deeper on the PUR to accomadate a different mechanism

The cushion number does not list for your chassis but looks OK on others to suit the PUR type covers which are also used in none PUR 461's, thats why i think yours is different to the later 461 types. Not available at the mo either.

Also, after market seat heater kits are available on ebay etc, fitted some last year to my brothers MGB of all things!!

Certainly hasn't been enough this summer, but then again the Roe bucks have been especially good on a couple of my bits of ground in Hampshire and Surrey and as much as I like bunnies (and I do!), if bambi is an alternative evening out, then there's no contest!

Actualy, I'm just putting an order together for some 461 floor drain plugs.. since my floor needs washing often ;-)

 Hmm, that makes life interesting.

I didn't get a written quote from the dealer as the head of parts dept  literally got made redundant the week I was looking at it. He got as far as 'making enquiries' having looked and found as you did that they weren't available and we  started to talk about the PUR alternative.

The cushions aren't available though you say?
