North Cape
A few pics of a trip up to North Cape, the most northernly coffee shop in Europe. My G and Richard and Graham's Bland Cruisers.
With temperatures below - 33 and the coldest of - 40 it was a good test for the vehicles.
Good on Richard and Graham who were adamant they were going to camp, and successfully camp they did while it was a basking - 25. One night of - 35 bought them to their senses though. The Webasto in my G did it's job perfectly for morning starts. Of course the good old way of putting your camp stove on full blast under the engine for 2 hours works perfectly well too, it's just you can't do that by using the remote from the comfort of your cabin. ;-)
smashing photo's, was that snow clearer being driven by the idiots from Top Gear
More pictures please friend ........
thanks for sharing and the pics. This has always been on my list of 'to do' trips. How long did it take you to get up there and did you find that the lack of light was a real issue to getting the miles done on the longer sections.
Good on the boys for trying to camp.............respect!

Fortunately the snow clearers weren't being driven by the Top Gear lot, although the two LC's could possibly have been driven by them the way they were pirouetting down some of the roads ;-)
We took about 4 days to get to the North of Sweden, but we did spend some time in Roskilde in Denmark, and also Lulea in Sweden where you can drive over the frozen sea to some islands, just something we had to do, LOL.
We then spent a few days in Kiruna sweden, where we did a bit of skiing, skidooing and finding roads with the most snow on them. we then took 2 days to get to the island where North Cape is.
Lack of light wasn't a problem at all, we did quite a lot of night time driving going out to see the Northern lights,, etc. Road conditions certainly slow you down though.
