Newbie G Owner in Glasgow

Well I took the plunge a couple of months back and bought what looked like an 'okay' LWB 280GE intending to spensd a couple of K to put it back on the road and use as the basis of a travel vehicle in a couple of years. Well I've only seen it once when I handed over the money, since then it's been at the G Centre being restored and my bank balance is being severely dented!

Ouch.
Looks 'OK' from the one pic.  Needs wheel arches IMO.  Had some work already by the looks of it - replacement indicators and respray?
But 'putting it back on the road' is always a risk - the garage will find all sorts to replace and those parts all add up.  Assume you have no corrosion to worry about and engine is sound though.

Hi And welcome! 

I am sure if you let us know what they have done to date or what they have found you could post and get some great advice on how to keep the costs down. I Agree with my lerned collegue it need wheel arches! :-)  if you share with s the VIN number I am sure some of the other members can tell you quite a lot of the history and its orginal speck when it came in.

I hope you get as much fun and enjoyment out of your G as I have done, and look forward to meeting you at one of our next meets.
