All,
I am replacing the springs and shocks on the rear of my 1987 SWB 460. (rather, my friendly local mechanic is).
Does anyone have serviceable spares they can sell me and ship, or recommendations where to source?

Are there alternate shocks available?
What would MB new cost (approx?)

regds, -jd
(and yes, the GWOA site crashed my IE first time I posted this, but I remembered to save this short one to Word first!)

For springs for a 460 300GD SWB ended up getting the uprated 461 ones from Lesjours from my local car parts place at £80 each instead of £200 odd from MB. The cheaper KYB ones are not really available for what I needed (one in country and making no more!).. anyway .. here is my bunch of info on springs/shocks.

“Scorpion Racing in London supply shock absorbers & springs for G Wagens. they have standard, uprated & adjustable shocks, & they will build springs to your requirements. The best way is to send the original spring, along with the measurements they ask for, along with any difference in required ride height. I had a set made & the on road ride is just as good (no discernable increase in body roll), but it has a much smoother ride off road. their telephone number is 07000 332272” BJ

New Springs from MR Holland and delivered quickly, excellent service from MR Holland who were very helpful, not expensive and when unpacked found to be Monroe manufactured
