My new G!!

Requires alot of work though!!

All the classic G related problem but a genuine 75K (I hope)

Hopefully it can be saved from the knackers yard and be back on the road soon!!!

LPG has caused most of the problems, but with only a 15l petrol tank i will have to get it fixed!!

Re: My 'new' 460 280GE

Yes it looks very tidy as that photo is a few years old!!

It has been left a bit neglected for various reasons since then but she should clean up very nicely, I hope.

It has a few minor rust spots in the usual places just coming through but cosmetically it is pretty good.

Problems are:

Leaking like the titanic.  Defenite wiper spindles, possibly windscreen seal and vent for blower also.  Interior is soden.

Needs new heater blower.

Needs disks, steering damper and possibly calipers

Needs major fluid service

Both electric windows very sluggish.

Its down on power, worse on LPG, hoping its vacuum related.  It has been backfiring so may have blown off a pipe somewhere.  The gear box is also not functioning properly, again hopefully vacuum related.  It has only a 15l petrol tank so need to get the LPG back up and running.

On the plus side it is very low milage, has a very nice interior, has arches, nice alloys and good chunky tyres, all in all a good starting point!  Hopefully it does not cost more than the G did to fix it!!

It is a UK G that was in Northern Ireland.  I hope to sort the backfiring with some wizardry...  we will see!
