MB Part number for recaro rails?
I think I'm going to get a set of recaros restored for my 460 (black leather and grey Rodeo check).
I know that MB did have a fitting kit available for them, but can't work out what their part number is. Anyone here ever bought a set ?
Hi , i have also a set of recaros without runners and they are no longer available from mercedes i found a set for sale and the guy wanted £400 ! mad money , have been told some other recaro seat runners will fit , good luck .
I have just fitted a piar of Recaros to a swb 460 , the mounting points on the recaro is about 3" wider than the MB seat base . The options are to widen the base or to make the seat mount narrower. I used some 75mm x 25mm rhs and widened the base. Its easy enough to do if you can weld.

Brilliant, thanks for that. I've found a set of late 80s seats in great nick and with a source for the Rodeo Grey check fabric I think we're in business :-)

OK, thanks for the input. There are a lot of s/h recaros around too (lots of sports cars from the mid 80s had the same model fitted as the 460 used) so the chances of finding a set with the right mounts could also be quite good I suppose. Failing that rhe runners shold be easy enough to fabricate.
