I've been working on my 300gd G wagon for last twelve months to get him road worthy and M.O.T.'d and last week it passed totally clean!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here for all the great advice and help couldn't have done it without this forum. Every time I asked a question I always got an answer and no sacasm because of my lack of knowledge, superb.

Took the G wagon out for a drive today over to High Bradfield above sheffield, fantastic!

Bad news is may have to sell soon but going to enjoy it while i can

Looks good....a true labour of love. Sorry to hear you may have to part company with it; I can sympathise there.

Very dramatic photo, sets off the G rather well. Such a shame that after all that work, you can not enjoy it to the full :(

You have re worked the whole thing? a Mr Q has stated a real labour of love..... you do it again?

Whoa! Another G in the Sheffield area... Not sure where you live but passing Bradfield you must have almost passed the front of my house (in Worrall) - we should have compared G's! As only just passed MOT would explain why I haven't seen you around. Mine is only a couple of years older and fun keeping on road?!? Great picture by the way.

Very interesting touch - the Landy style checker plate on the wings.
Nice looking.

Thanks for everyones repy's yes it's been a labour of love but worth it to enjoy driving it on and off the road.Unfortunately I need to pay off a few debts so the plan is to sell Mr G and buy a cheaper SWB version. I thought i'd try it on ebay to see what offers i get. I'm thinking of getting a swb as the lwb is a bit too big for what i need. Plus i've really enjoyed working on this one and fancy doing it again, have learnt loads in the last couple of year : ) and knocked the skin of nearly all my knuckles ; )

Hi Stewart, yes must have passed close to your place, I was originally in Huddersfield but have just moved to above Stocksbridge so was out exploring in the newly road worthy Wagon. Poor thing didn't too much like the steap road our of low bradfield though.

Yeah the checker plates we're added by original owner but I had them powder coated black as the alu silver looked odd. The good news was there was no rust underneath, I thought he'd added it to cover rust but must have been a Landy fan?
