 Hello Fella's

I am aware I have not been on here for a very long time, and frankly, I miss it. I may be on the dark side, (and god don't i know it, british is best my arse) but I miss the club and having a G.

I have worked through 3rd and 4th year and am now on my final year, currently on psychiatry (turns out there all mad) but heading to A&E in a few weeks. Spent my summer on the Bone Tumour and Joint Reconstruction Team at Stanmore, London, epic but no time to try and catch up with Joe and his G and see how the rest of you are while I was home

I am going to try better from now on. If the jobs work out with not too much travelling next year then I think a naughty G purchase would have to be done, so fingers crossed! (or i could have messed up my application and end up in the outer reaches of scotland, which i am sure would require a G)

Hope your all well, feel free to throw me some abuse, I miss it!

Tom

p.s still note down when I spot a g

Re: A long time due

Welcome back.  I was asking Ewan earlier this week what had happened to you by way of explaining your notable absence .  If you are looking him up in Cambridge at any time and feel the need to see some G's get in touch, you might feel the urge to make me an offer for my 280GES - possibly one of the best original ones in the UK.

You can't tempt me yet, Im not qualifying till July! I should pop down with Ewan at somepoint though, see the G's and the miracle of his fine hand craft, which after seeing him on the pitch, i still can't believe.

We have him playing with the medics next saturday in a big match against the university team (first time its occured), you should pop up and watch if your free, its not at our ground but think there will be a few beers about.

Hope your well

i have owned up plenty, Joe is fully aware, even you must have seen the facebook status...

"Who wants a BBQ, ill supply the range rover and the gallon of diesel"

Thing is a mare, but sadly the G is still out of reach for a young studenté! Even as a Doctor its a stretch but I really do want one again.

How are you anyway, what G delights have you got?

Re: A long time due

thought this would give you all a giggle for the weekend...

Range Rover fault number (ive actually lost count) ABS FAULT - hand brake and TC lights staying on and a braking effort that feels like its on drums from the 30's all round.

Was driving to london for the night anyway so swapping for the ever trusty CLK again, will I ever learn!

Re: A long time due

hi tom. only pulling your leg.....

good to hear from you. gone through several G's over the last 18 months. i had sold the red cabrio [big mistake!] a year ago, and was lucky enough to buy it back last month.

sold a stonker of a 500GES recently. must be one of the FASTEST 46o around. [pics on facebook. it was a black beast !!]

acquired a  few really nice 280 GEL's , a lovely 230 GES. and just about get my 79 model 300gds back from the bodyshop after 8 months...!!! it is has been fully body off restored, nut and bolt restoration job. now has recaro seats, central locking, all trimmed in new 79 model fabric again, restored bbs alloys, new shocks, coils and now has a 606a td engine and a 5 speed manual to add some flavour to the driving pleasure !
it has been sprayed in the original sahara beige again. it looks retro with the twin barn doors..

it should sell for around 12k.

i will add pics soon
