I have just been asked by someone at work 'if that photo on my desktop was of my Land Rover?'.
Speechless!!!!
you must have been very
any excuse to test the smilys
LANDROVER????? I hope they were dragged out and soundly whipped? My children and their friends tend not to make the same mistake twice!
(Ohhh Look I have tested some smiles as well!)

But then you only work with sound engineers so be grateful for any cognitive speech
"1-2, 1-2, 1-2..."
Maybe, your someone needs to be invited to one of our AGM's, we collectively brain wash them.
swb G and Defender have the same shape so easy mistake to make; both up for NATO contracts I shouldn't wonder
A football and a golf ball have the same shape, rarely are they mistaken.
but a football and a golf ball are different sizes, a swb G or defender have very similar dimensions
I had a rep in my unit today, and the question was "So do you restore Jeeps then?" what was the sticker?, it's not a jeep, you wouldn't understand
Had a scruffy looking young guy turn up at my door a few weeks ago, all chatty and friendly, on about me being into four wheel drives. He had apparently heard about me at the local pub - where I have never been - and been told all about my vehicle and that it might be for sale. He had already been down the track and had a squint at it, and had then come up to the house to tell me how keen he was on off-roaders and to ask if I wanted to sell my "Jeep"!!!!!
Needless to say, he was somewhat disappointed at my less than enthusiastic response. He then drove off in his battered Mondeo. I believe that is a Ford....
We're all such a bunch of pretentious snobs, aren't we?
Can we not get some stickers saying "Its not a Land Rover its much much better"?
Hate, hate, hate it when this happens. People should know better!!
7 things to know about a Landy...
1) A Land Rover doesn't leak oil, it just marks it's territory.
2) When putting a Land Rover portrait against the wall, remember to put some old newspapers on the floor to catch the oil leaks.
3) Why is a Land Rovers rear windows heated? So your hands are warm when you push them.
4) Why did they use Land Rovers for the Camel trophy? To make things as difficult as possible for the contestants.
5) With a Land Rover you can't decide whether to park on a hill in case your starter fails or on the flat in case your handbrake fails.
6) How do you get oil into a Land Rover? Throw the oils over the engine and it will leak in.
7) What does the Titanic and a Land Rover have in common? It has the same turning circle and is just as waterproof
And some rear window stickers for a G Owner....
If my wife was this dirty, I'd have stayed at home!
The car in front of you is NOT A BLOODY JEEP!!!
G 280DE 0-60 in Three Weeks!
Please remember - YOU ARE MY CRUMPLE ZONE
I may be driving a tin bucket - but which scrap yard will yours be in when it's the same age?!

They seemed to have stopped putting those stickers "The best 4x4x far" on.
Also stopped advertising the claim that 70% are still on the road?
there's a very good reason for that in that the Freelander and Discovery models haven't lasted very well compared to series vehicles and the 90/110 Defenders
Hey, maybe we are but at least we have all learnt to use smileys....
Surely though the MB badge on the front gives a bit of a clue????
