Ignition - not start GD350
Hi,
I've returned from ym trip to Morocco desert, I had a rollover on the dunes, only roof top a bit smashed.
Problem is now I'm not able to start on the key.
I went to check the socket of the automatic transmission, as sometimes in Park I had some problem.
When I shift to Neutral it used to start but now not in Neutral or Park.
I went to check and I have current on the socket of the gearbox.
I've been able to start engine with a connection to battery.
Any ideas?
Help is appreciated.
Sounds like the Starter Lock Out Switch on the left side of the Gearbox unless the Gear Lever bent in the roll and is not registering true Neutral or Park on the switch...long shot!!!

Maybe a combination of faults if you can start with second battery attached
Inter lock switch on lever straight foward - as above
Get battery tested/replaced ,check battery earth ,to bulkhead ,chassis and engine.
I had the same problem recently. i.e. The Starter will not turn when trying to start when gear lever in either P or N position. In my case, I disconnected the neutral from the battery for 1 or 2 minutes, I reconnected the battery and the car started immediately on 3 occasions. I think the problem was the inhibitor switch (safety block switch combined with reversing light switch) situated at the left side of the gear box) that got wet during the recent downpours. In any case, I got a spare switch now just in case the existing one misbehaves again.

2 X 10mm head bolts hold it on
Just make sure the switch and the rod it locks on to are all lined up
Easy enough for a competant DIYer

Thank you all, I'll check the switch.
It's not a faulty battery, the gear lever is ok, once in a while a was not able to start on P, always on N.
Is it something easy to replace? costly ?
