I think I like these.........
I quite fancy a set of these for my 463.........

What do we recon, a tasteful upgrade on a timeless beauty or a tacky Halfords looking "add-on"??
I've got a set, just need a g wagen to put them on !
On a picture they look horrible, but in the flesh they work well. I doubt it would work with my raised suspention, always full of mud, big chunky wheels etc.
On Spiders girly 500 they could look quite nice.
i did have 2 sets one set fitted with bull bar also, and mr perfect has he rightly says liked them sooooo much he made me sell them to him
Few pics
Girly 500, indeed.
I thought one had to forfeit the bull bar to have those?
Spider1V
pictures before LED side and headlight bulbs now fitted, im having a mid life light crisis at the mo
didnt some one say in a forum dont upgrade to LED ??
cant remember why
.
If changing your breakinglights to LED it will result in a non functional cruise control on the 463. It took me months to find out that it was the LED lights that was the answer. I couldnt lock the cruise control at all.
Thought you guys might wanna know.

You've got a cruise control on your 463? If I have, I can't find it. Were they fitted post-a-certain year or something? I only ever used it to keep within the speed limits and quite frankly in a diesel 463, that is not really an issue.
No he hasn't, he was quoting some one else's thread
I think cruise control was filtted as standard around 1996 / 97. Cruise control located on a second stalk behind indicators.
I assume as long as you use the later Canbus ready LED bulbs there wont be a problem with cruise control, indicators or bulb failure warning light.
Up to 94 the cruise control used the brake lights as part of the circuit. If you put on your brakes it cancels the setting. If you change the bulbs to something unexpected, then the system won't work.
After 96 the cruise control was integrated into the engine ecu, drive by wire etc.
To clarify:-
A. LED interference with cruise control etc refers to replacing the REAR brake lights with LEDS, not adding front LED daylight running lamps.
B. MB redesigned the rear lights in 2007 to look like LEDs, but they still operate on conventional bulbs. There are however expensive aftermarket LED kits, but no news on their reliability.

I saw these LED lights on EBay. I bought a similar product a few years back for a BMW and they were crap (leaking, not working all the time...) I assumed that these would be of similar quality.
