Hi everyone.
Iv'e been a member since december but this is my first posting on the forum (or any forum for that matter!), so I thought I would say hello.
I live in Kent and bought a 1989 SWB 230ge in November. It was a bit of an impulse buy as I didn't do any research just saw an ad and bought it. But I have liked them since a kid so thought what the heck!
It has a few issues (mainly minor I hope) but I wondered if anyone new of somebody who works on Gs' in the Kent/south east london area. Also I require a front wiper linkage (MB part no.4638200241), does anybody have any idea where I could aquire one as my local garage is having trouble sourcing one? (Mind you they had never heard of a G Wagen!) Any help would be appreciated. Regards.

 Shaun might help you with the guys that work on his g,Near tunbridge wells me thinks. and parts do mostly have to come from Mercedes, unless second hand I'm afraid.

 Although a Independent Renault garage, but  Ren7Oaks  know their way round G's.  I take my G there from North London there that good to deal with, and I know they look after a few other G's as well.

THE CORRECT PART NUMBER FOR THE FRONT WIPER SPINDLE ASSEMBLY for the 460 model G wagon is  MA 001 820 74 41      @       £ 126+vat from MB
 single spindles are no longer available -----only the complete assembly

Thats great, thanks very much for that info (exactly why a donut like me joined a club like this!!). That bl**dy garage gave me the wrong part no., no wonder they can't locate one. I must rescue my G from them ASAP!! Thanks again. Regards.
