Hello all,
This is a bit off an odd one. Does anyone know if the handbrake lever in a 463 is the same as any other mercedes? i know alot of the cars have a "foot handbrake" but maybe some of the vans? I completely destroyed mine recently so need a replacement one. just wondering if anything from the scrappers will fit before i fork out for a new one! no idea what it will cost new but i can imagine more than i want to pay!
cheers!

Re: Handbrake lever

From my brief search on the EPC of a few likely models, but not all of them; the probability of the W463 handbrake lever is unique to the W463 and is not shared with any other models. Your options are to check with G-Wagen International Ltd on their web-site for any 463's breaking or any other specialists breakers.

Checking on G-Manufackur's web -site; they show used handbrake levers for 460 and 461 models.  I should mention that the website was visited through the Favorites search, not being an IT geek, I do not know if that takes you to an up-to-date site or if I have visited a historic page, hence information shown on it, so you may want to try for your self on this.

Cheers,

Re: Handbrake lever

Hi

From what i can tell it fits only the W463 G Wagon...but not even all of them are the same depends on what yours is.

It seems the early motors have part number A463 420 01 84 @ £254 + VAT !!!! MB Germany have stock.

The later ones or maybe the V8's are different.

PM me your chassis number and i will check out which type you have.

They dont fit any other MB models that have any like this...only the 190 w201 had a conventional handbrake.

The vans are not the same either.

How have you damaged it...is it repairable?

Hope this helps

Re: Handbrake lever

thanks for the replys,
no not repairable...works but i broke all the little bits inside(technical term) so it will not stay up for parking. it got completly jammed on in a trial ... so out came the lump hammer and screw driver.... time was of the essence!
but in the end i found the whole thing on flea bay for 12 euros and 15 postage from germany .. so happy out!
