Seems to me there is a high rate of G s in Japan .Most seem to be LHD so that problem does not deter them.

On the contrary; between 1984 and 1993 Gs were oficially imported into Japan in RHD only... until some astute MB marketing executive realized in 1994 that LHD cars were perceived as exotic and thus a sign of distinction. Ever since Gs have always been sold in LHD only, even today that RHD production has been retaken. Funny, innit?

Yes most odd. And here is one in an unusual colour. And talking of RHD as opposed to LHD  I have a LWB in both forms and MUCH prefer parking the LHD around town. My next G by choice would be LHD.

This is the most unusual colour I have seen on a G-Wagen. Orange Puree or something like that
