Golf Mk2 Headlamps as a G Wagen Fitment.
It’s been posted a few times that Mk2 Golf headlamps will fit a G Wagen. Well they don’t! Not my 463 anyway.
A pheasant decided to destroy my drivers side headlamp so I obtained a new Mk2 Golf Hella lamp. It’s the same diameter but the 3 fittings used to attach it to the lamp dish are at the incorrect spacing. I got it to fit but it took some serious modification (bodging!).
It now shows the passenger side up aesthetically it’s nice and shiny compared to dull yellow. Lighting way improved dfintion to the beam also.

I recall it was a MK 1 Golf. I used them on my 92 and it was a straight swap. Loss of level adjustment natually
Mk1 fitted my 460 perfectly
MK1 for sure rus. should fit straight into the 463 too. you may need to swap over the back plate. shouldnt be bodge up job mate. its mainly leuu that does that !

As I say the passenger side is looking a little shabby so I'll let you know how I get on with a MK1.
