Hi ive bought a G :)
after a long wait and constant moaning from my other half i finally own one.  Its a 1990 with 90,000 miles full service.  I will post some photos soon.
I plan on pimping it up slightly, nothing to mad. Just to make it more modern. So I will have lots of questions for you all very shortly ie, what wheels will fit. can i fit a ml or gl seats in.
I cant wait to get my hands dirty and to graze my knuckles off spanners slipping.
Cheers every one

Many congratulations.
Don't worry about your knuckles - those are German and Austrian nuts;-

Some would say that's the best G wagen in terms of straightforward mechanics.

 Hi and Welcome,

Good luck with your porject and hats off to your partner for pushing down the G route. Did they once own one or just like the G's good looks :) So where are you based and what do you plan on doing to spec up your G? Will it be a road only or do you plan to take it off road?

Looking forward to your reply

Re: G300D

thanks for all the warm welcomes..
i plan on using the wagen as my family vehicle, i use a van for work so it will be mainly for weekend use.  an the odd trip up snowdon fishing. and some 4x4 adventures.
I plan on either wrapping it gloss black or getting respray all depending on funds, some nice wheels an a new interior.
With plenty of questions to ask.
thanks  Ricky
